I thought I'd use this first post just to tell you a little about me, the blog, why I've set it up etc.
My name is Rebecca, I live with my partner Scott in Inverness, Scotland. We have recently sold our home, and are living in my old flat for a couple of months while we get ready to move into our new home.
I have started this blog & the Instagram page to go with it to document the journey as we get the house ready. It's not a renovation as such, it's in good repair, but we are putting in a new kitchen and bathroom, moving a couple of internal walls/doors, fully redecorating and so on. We hopefully get the keys on 17th February and the plan, all going well, is to be in by the start of May.
I love seeing other peoples homes for ideas and inspiration. It's also nice to be connected with people who are in the same boat. We did an extension on our home before selling it, so I know all to well the stress that comes with that. This time at least I'll have somewhere to come to vent about it! I also really like the idea of being able to look back and seeing how far we've come with it.
I'll use the next few posts to go into more detail about the old house, and then hopefully before we know it we'll have the keys to the new one!
